Passionate Pursuit of IWU's Christ-Centered Mission
Fostering a Christ-Honoring Diverse Community
Fulfilling our Mission in a Time of Cultural Change
INDIANA WESLEYAN UNIVERSITY seeks to be an embassy of heaven. We believe every student should be introduced to Jesus and encounter the gospel while they are here, whether they live on campus or login online. One of IWU’s founding promises was to develop and offer excellent faith-based academic programs, the kind that can transform students’ lives. Today, in a rapidly changing world, IWU is staying the course, putting Christ at the center of all we do.
Building a Biblically Diverse Community for Christ
OUR PRIMARY VALUE IS CHRISTLIKENESS, and it has been our community’s desire to reflect and promote the diversity of God’s Kingdom as a group of learners and believers. In the last decade, IWU has made significant strides toward a culture of biblical diversity and inclusion, led by individuals with a clear vision of the University’s future. Together, we’re building an inclusive community not as a matter of duty, but because we believe transformational education starts with diversity of experience, thought and culture.

Spiritual Life at IWU
Pursuing a Firm, Resilient Faith
At the centennial celebration of Indiana Wesleyan University, President Wright committed to keeping the promises of our founders: to offer rigorous, faith based education that is rooted in scripture and prepared students to do Christ’s work around the world. As our community has grown, we have remained committed to a transformational education that introduces students to Jesus and challenges them to grow in their faith. We are known for prayer, learning through service, and helping students develop a deeper relationship with Christ— something that’s remained unchanged for 100 years.
